People who smoke have different preferences. On our mission to improve public health, we understand we must meet people where they are. That’s why PMI U.S. offers a choice of satisfying smoke-free options to help adults 21+ make the switch from cigarettes and other traditional tobacco products.

ZYN is an oral nicotine pouch that’s placed between the gum and cheek. At the start of 2025, ZYN was the first nicotine pouch to be authorized through a “premarket tobacco product application,” meaning the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found ZYN appropriate for the protection of public health.

IQOS is a heated tobacco system that heats tobacco instead of burning it. The product is not risk-free, but significantly reduces the production of and exposure to harmful chemicals compared to traditional cigarettes. The product has been authorized by the FDA as a “modified risk tobacco product,” which means that it is appropriate to promote public health.
